Do you enjoy staying with friends? Staying with your friendly hosts in their restored character villa is the next best thing when you know no-one in the area! Enjoy a lazy breakfast in the morning sun on the covered rear deck. Relax again at the end of the day with 'wind down wine' in the late afternoon. Or enjoy the central heating indoors when Wellington isn't at her best!

We can offer several options for accommodation with 2 rooms available, to sleep up to 5 guests. We do offer a rate for single travellers, and can offer twin beds in either room. For those travelling with an infant under 2 years we have a portacot and bedding available also.

Our home makes a great base for exploring the Wellington region. An easy 8mins flat walk to Waterloo train station and then a 20 minute train ride delivers you on Wellington's doorstep, ready to explore the waterfront or walk directly onto Westpac Stadium concourse for all sports & events.

Facilities: Rooms have comfortable chairs and TV, or you are welcome to join us in the lounge and watch with us on our large screen TV with SKY channels for sport (not movies sorry). Continental breakfast is included in the room rate so you set off on your day well fed. We offer free reasonable use of WiFi broadband internet access to our guests. Guests share family bathrooms (main bathroom with bath shower twin basins and toilet, small guest bathroom with toilet and basin), supplied by instant gas heated hot water so there is no fear of a lukewarm shower - you can even indulge in a soak in the bath! Bathrobes are provided for guest use. We are experienced grandparents and can arrange to hire buggy, car seat, back pack etc to save you hauling it all with you. Some babysitting possible by arrangement. As part of our employment at local secondary schools we are both regularly police checked so you can be sure of our integrity.
Things to do: Your hosts are a mature couple who have lived in the Welington region all their lives and are able to advise on things to see and do that fit with your interests. Don't just see the usual main sights, explore the greater Wellington region, even the Wairarapa and across to Picton from your base with us.
