Wedding Ceremonies can be held either in the waterside garden with Orakei Basin as a backdrop or The Loft during winter, or in the event of rain. The private garden, with its mature Pohutukawa trees, is the perfect setting for a garden wedding ceremony.

Orakei House boasts two main areas for wedding receptions. The Foyer is perfect for canapes & bubbly while the Bride & Groom are having photos taken and the Grand Room, with its floor to ceiling windows, is perfect for a banquet style wedding reception.

In winter, wedding guests can be warmed by the open fireplace while sipping on sherry. The Grand Room, which can comfortably seat 160 guests and has a commanding view over Orakei Basin, is the perfect wedding reception venue. Great food and excellent service is what you can expect at your wedding reception.
