Rive Gauche is a purpose-built bed and breakfast lodge offering B&B and self-contained studio accommodation in a tranquil spot 2 km from Taupo town centre.

Set in its own private vineyard with views views over the Waikato River Valley, Rive Gauche is a great base for relaxation, family fun or for discovering the Central North Island. Local activities include jet boat rides, kayaking, mountain biking, thermal parks, golf and fishing, to name just a few.

Our 3 rooms offer a choice of queen, king and family options. All have tiled en suite bathrooms and a kitchenette is available with fridge & tea/coffee making facilities and free Wifi. Guests are invited to relax in our main lounge or in our garden courtyard.

The Riverview studio has a king bed, kitchenette with electric kettle and toaster, fridge and microwave, satellite TV, private courtyard with BBQ and lovely river & vineyard views. Laundry facilities are available. Self-contained and B&B options available.

Further Information: Rive Gauche is located in a quiet semi-rural suburb, 3 mins drive from the town centre, convenient for discovering Taupo, the Central Plateau and other tourist regions nearby. The Taupo region offers a wealth of activities for the outdoor enthusiast: golf, water sports, adventure activities (skydiving, bungy jumping, jet boating, kayaking, rafting .....), skiing, bush walks, Maori culture, thermal parks and baths etc. Enjoy our hospitality, and make use of our local knowledge to get the best out of your stay. We are both Kiwis and keen travellers, often to France, and share an interest in the outdoors, reading, cinema, photography, gardening and farming. Our current project is developing our small vineyard and implementing the next stage of our landscaping plan. Be assured of a warm welcome if you choose to stay with us at Rive Gauche - we enjoy chatting with our visitors over a welcome drink and a relaxed breakfast where we can make suggestions for your stay.
