Waitahanui Lodge offers 5 self contained lakeside cottages sleeping 3-6 people. All linen supplied.

10kms from Taupo and 100m from the world famous Waitahanui River, the Lodge features 5 totally self contained lakeside cottages in classic "kiwiana" style, situated in a magical setting on the shores of Lake Taupo. Think 1950's Kiwi Bach - no phones, no Sky TV and not an Italian tile in sight.

Our large paved area overlooking the lake is the ideal spot for getting together with friends or simply enjoying the serenity.

We welcome group bookings - fishing clubs, family reunions, birthday parties and work do's

Special Features: The Waitahanui River and the world famous Picket Fence at the river mouth offer excellent fly fishing within easy walking distance. lake fishing in the Waithanui Bay and Horomatangi Reef offer consistent catches all year round. The lodge tackle shop stocks all your fishing needs including the hire of rods and waders. We can also organise a fishing guide or charter boat and have our own fish cleaning and trout smoking facilities on site. Our lake frontage with private boat ramp provide the ideal opportunity to enjoy all lake activities - water skiing, wind surfing, sailing and swimming. Rowboats and kayaks are free for guests to use.
