Kerikeri Airport (also known as Bay of Islands Airport) is located in a premier NZ tourist area just a short drive from Paihia - the 'Heart of the Bay of Islands', Russell and Opua, which is the main port of entry for offshore vessels.

The Airport was originally a grass aerodrome made by the New Zealand government in the early 1930's.

Today Air New Zealand provides a regular service to Auckland with Beech 1900D and SAAB aircraft connecting with domestic and international flights. Major charter operators fly business, conference and recreational groups to the airport.

Airport facilities include international check-in, business meeting rooms, easy parking, set down and pick up at the terminal door and quick check-ins.
