S & G Martial Arts (SGMA) is a non-profit organisation teaching the principles of Self-Defence.
SGMA is primarily focussed on providing students with simple, efficient techniques, to allow them to successfully defend themselves in a variety of real-world situations, against opponents of varying size and skill.
The syllabus of SGMA is made up of: Striking - the syllabus encompasses punches, kicks, blocks, takedowns, and escapes. SGMA uses techniques from Karate, Judo and Kempo as the basis for teaching. Grappling - the syllabus encompasses escapes, chokes, joint locks (arms, legs etc). SGMA uses techniques from Brazilian Jui-Jitsu (BJJ) as the basis for teaching.
Classes are held for 8yo to 17yo (Juniors), and 18yo + (Seniors).
