Knapdale Eco-Lodge

Knapdale Eco Lodge is a luxury, eco-friendly lodge situated in Waihirere, 10 minutes from Gisborne airport. Hosts Kees and Kay Weytmans developed Knapdale Eco Lodge on principals of sustainability and environmental awareness, making this luxury lodge a truly unique accommodation experience.

Situated on a working 32 ha farm, avocados, beef, venison, honey, fruit and vegetables are all harvested onsite. As a guest to the lodge you are free to help harvest vegetables for dinner, or partake in mustering the cattle to greener pastures. There is also a day long Nature Tour (ending in wine and finger food at sunset) for those wanting the full eco experience.

The luxury rooms at Knapdale Eco Lodge are the Romance Room (king sized bed, 2 person spa and private balcony) and the Deluxe Guest Room (King sized bed, private bathroom, internet facilities). Accommodation includes a breakfast prepared with food grown onsite, refreshments on arrival and pre-dinner New Zealand wines.
