This beautifully & tastefully furnished 1 bedroom open unit apartment is an outside extention of our home. It is situated in a very peaceful & quiet part of historic Flagstaff Hill, 3 mins drive, on to a private road from Russell town. You can spend all day on the deck of the main house, watching the boats come into & out of the bay or just enjoying a glass of wine while watching the sun set. In summer, ocean liners drop anchor in the bay in front of the house.

White sand swimming beaches of Tapeka Pt & the famous Long beach are both less than 5 mins. drive away. Or you can take a short 5 mins bush walk and have a swim in the private beach below the house.

The apartment is best suited for couples who would like a quiet and stressfree time in the Bay of Islands, a perfect getaway hideaway. There is ample private parking area and also a private courtyard.

Things to do
The Bay of Islands is 3rd down on the must -see places in New Zealand. The Bay offers all manner of water recreation imaginable, available; wreckdiving, gamefishing or snapper fishing, day trips on boats to see some of our 140 islands, yacht sailing for the day amongst the islands, parasailing, dinner cruises, fast boat trips, swim with the dolphins. There are also eco tours to Kauri forest or vineyard tours or scenic heli flights for a good aerial look of the bay and surrounding areas. All of these and many other activities are available from the township and we are also happy to arrange for you at no charge. The township also has numerous restaurants and drinking places to choose from.
Getting There
Russell is 41/2 hrs drive from Auckland airport, 45 mins domestic flight from Auckland to Kerikeri and catch a shuttle bus to Paihia , then catch a leisurely passenger ferry ride to Romantic Russell. If you are coming on the passenger ferry, let us know and we can come & help you with your luggages.
