Often described as the most spectacular New Zealand ski field, The Remarkables is one of only two mountain ranges in the world that runs directly from north to south.

Perched above the southeastern shore of Lake Wakatipu, and covering approx 700 hectares of reserve land, The Remarkables boasts 220 skiable hectares accessed by three quad chairs.

The amazingly long powder runs are not the only attraction - for something entirely different try The Ozone Tubing Park; nestled in the sun-drenched bowls its fun for the whole family.

Clearly visible from the nearby town of Queenstown, the highest point in the range is Double Cone (2340m), with Ben Nevis (2330m, named after the Scottish mountain of the same name) a little further south in the Hector mountains.

During the winter months The Remarkables ski field is well known for skiing and other winter activities. Remarkables Ski Area is a 45-minute drive (26 km) drive from Queenstown.
