Coronet Peak is Queenstown’s original resort ski area and the oldest ski field in the region. Queenstown is only 25 minutes away from this snowboarder's paradise. Its reputation for having some of the best and most varied terrain is backed by the multi-million-dollar snow-making system here, ensuring excellent conditions throughout the season.
Just because the sun goes down doesn't mean the action stops – night skiing is exclusive to Coronet Peak. It's a daring and magical way to ski or ride the slopes and well worth a try.
The slopes of Coronet Peak are wide and rolling making them handy for all levels of skiiers or riders. If you need a lesson or two or three, there is also an award-winning ski and snowboard school to teach you the basics or how to 'rip it up'.Photos
