Despite its reputation for chilly winds, Wellington can seduce the most cynical visitor with its natural charm. Great views can be found at the top of Mt Victoria, or by catching the cable car up to the Botanic Gardens. Downtown Wellington's urban pulse, unrivalled in the country, beats hard and fast.
