Wairarapa is about 90 minutes drive north of Wellington. The region is bordered by the rugged Tararua Mountains to the west and the wild Pacific Ocean to the east. Known for its hot, languid summers, stunning gardens, antique and gift shops, galleries and cafes, the Wairarapa is great for a relaxing, refined country break.
