For the price of a second-tier home in one of New Zealand's main centres you could buy yourself a French village.
Yes, an entire village.
Courbefy, a tiny town in the Haute-Vienne part of the Limousin region, has been listed for just €330,000 (NZ$528,000), the Telegraph reports.
That'll get you 19 different buildings, a pool, tennis courts and the village hall – but be warned, there could be many a creepy-crawly in residence, as the village has been abandoned for most of the last four decades.
Courbefy was once a bustling rural community, but became a bit of a ghost town in the 70s when the villagers had to leave to find work.
A couple tried to turn it into a hotel and restaurant complex in the 90s, but with no success, English-language local newspaper Connexion reports.
Potential buyers have just a week to put in their bids for the empty town.
