A Queenstown hotel has been named alongside London's The Ritz as one of the world's best by prestigious UK magazine Tatler.
Eichardt's Private Hotel was included for the first time in the mag’s Top 8 Forever Fabulous category in the Tatler Travel Guide 2012.
General manager Chris is "delighted" with the praise.
"We're delighted to have won such a prestigious accolade from a magazine known for the high expectations of its loyal readership, as we continue to lead the luxury accommodation sector in New Zealand."
The hotel is situated beside Lake Wakatipu and boasts stunning views of sparkling blue waters and snow-capped mountains.
The Times newspaper of London recently named the Eichardt's Bar one of the 'top ten bars in the world with a view'.

Of course, no one has the right to comment whether this hotel deserves this title unless they have stayed there themselves and even then, it's only a matter of that person's opinion.
ReplyKengis and A to Z,you sad people, when was the last time you had a good ....? None of us are perfect but anyone who can't sign their proper name to a silly little blog has greater problems than what you alluded to.
ReplyWell Teddy the people who read tatler and their opinion are more important and listened to than you.
ReplyI looked around every rooms of the little hotel 10 years ago. It was gorgeous, but there are so many beautiful hotels in the world. Just someone's taste and plus something.... like...he won lotto while he was staying there..or... he met a beautiful lady there and had a good time..... That makes the point up. This is very lucky for the Eicahrdt's hotel. Tourist from overseas, please do not think this hotel is the best in New Zealand!
ReplyKengis, well done mate. The wisest comment of the day. Unlike some other self centred idiots who believe NZ is the centre of the universe.
